Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Expanvas, a spatial canvas for AI work operated by a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. By using the service you agree to them. They are written to be read, not to trap you.

The service

Expanvas lets you converse with AI models, keep the outputs as nodes on a canvas, connect them, and reuse them as context. The service is under active development: features will change, and we will note significant changes in the changelog.

Accounts and guest mode

You can use Expanvas as a guest without an account, within guest limits. If you create an account, keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 to use the service.

Your content

You own what you make on your canvas. You grant us the limited licence needed to store, display and process your content in order to provide the service, and nothing more. We do not train models on your content.

AI outputs

Responses are generated by third-party models (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) and can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check anything that matters before relying on it. Your use of each provider's models is also subject to that provider's terms.

Acceptable use

• Do not use the service to break the law or to harm others.
• Do not attempt to breach, probe or overload the service or its rate limits.
• Do not resell access to the service or to the underlying models.

Fees

The free tier is free. Paid tiers, when introduced, will be clearly priced before you commit, and changes to pricing will be announced in advance. There are no hidden charges.

Availability and liability

The service is provided as is, without warranty. We work to keep it reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we recommend exporting anything critical. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before a claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending things

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms, with notice where reasonable.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes belong to the courts of England and Wales.
